The wells were monitored, purged, and sampled in accordance with the site's
Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan (Appendix A, "Technical Summary and Report of First
Quarter Monitoring", RESNA, June 10, 1992) and in accordance with California Regional Water
Quality Control Board Central Valley Region Monitoring and Reporting Program No. R5-2002-
0821 for Diamond Walnut Growers, Inc., dated July 3, 2002.
Fieldwork consisted of measuring depth to groundwater, purging the on-site monitoring wells,
and collecting samples from each of the eight wells and the former facility well. Groundwater
samples were collected after purging the monitoring wells and verifying the stabilization of pH,
- electrical conductivity, and temperature.
1 i Groundwater levels in the monitoring wells and the facility well ranged from 50.51 to 55.46 feet
below grade, an average increase in the water table of 1.16 feet since water depth was last
measured in October 2002.
