d
Technical Summary & Report of 4TH Qtr Monitoring Apnl 2, 1992
Diamond Walnut Growers, 1050 South Diamond Street, Stockton, CA W0564 '
mg/f were recorded for the MW-3 sample. Although significantly lower than the previous
' analysis this concentration still exceeds the State MCL of 05 mg/P.
In an effort to determine the significance of the recorded concentration a monitoring/sampling
round was proposed to include all three shallow on-site monitoring wells in addition to the four
adjacent City wells 1
' 4.0 1991 FOURTH QUARTER MONITORING EVENT
RESNA's activities during the fourth quarter of 1991 included momtonng the three shallow on-
site wells (MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3), sampling these wells and the City of Stockton production
wells WP-1, WP-2, and WP-3; (well WP-4 was inoperable and could not be sampled), obtaining
' analytical data for the municipal wells from the City of Stockton, and the preparation of this
summary report.
4_1 Groundwgter Sampling
' RESNA personnel monitored and sampled the six available on-site wells on December 18, 1991.
The monitoring wells were purged, monitored, and sampled according to the RESNA Quality
' Assurance/Quality Control Plan in Appendix A.
' Field work consisted of measuring depth to water in the three monitoring wells and collecting
one sample from each monitoring well and the three available municipal wells (WP-1, WP-2 and
WP-3) Groundwater elevations in the monitoring wells ranged from -50 17 to -50 81 feet
(MSL). The groundwater flow direction in the shallow zone on December 18 was northwesterly
with a very low hydraulic gradient of 0 0006 ft/ft. Figure 3 shows groundwater elevation
contours for December 18, 1991. The groundwater monitoring data is summarized on Table 2
Groundwater monitoring data and purge logs are provided in Appendix B i
R411792 SAY 4
1
