Title 23,Division 3, Chapter 16,Article 11 of the <br /> California Code of Regulations requires you to investigate and remediate the unauthorized petroleum <br /> release at the site. <br /> Six boreholes were advanced at the site and soil and grab water samples collected in January 1996' <br /> Analytical results of the Borehole#3 grab water sample were 5,800 parts per billion(ppb) total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g),4,000 ppb TPH as diesel(TPH4, 160 ppb Benzene, 140 <br /> ppb Toluene,95 ppb Ethylbenzene, and 570 ppb xylenes. <br /> Two underground storage tanks (UST) were removed on January 15, 1999. Groundwater was not <br /> encountered at the removal so a grab water sample was not collected. The analytical results of the soil . <br /> samples collected beneath the UST system indicate minor soil contamination. Therefore, the source <br /> area of the groundwater contamination has not been identified. Further assessment of the groundwater <br /> contamination and the source of the plume are required. <br /> PHS/EHD has reviewed and approved the."Work Plan Addendum" dated September 22, 1998 prepared <br /> by Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. (AGE).
