Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Re: Soil boring investigations, 1807 Douglas Avenue,
Stockton, CA
Dear Ms. Ratliff:
This letter transmits the necessary information to your
department in order to conduct a soil boring investigation at the
above referenced site (Figure 1 ) . This investigation is being
performed to facilitate the transfer of property title.
The investigation will entail drilling and sampling of four angle
soil borings and four vertical borings. The four angle borings
will be drilled a total depth of 18 feet at a 30° angle to
vertical ( 15 foot depth below grade) to obtain samples directly
beneath the center of the underground tanks. The vertical soil
borings will be drilled to a depth of five feet along existing
and former product line locations. The site plan shows the
location of the proposed borings (Figure 2 ) . A soil sample
collected from the bottom of each boring will be analyzed by a
State certified laboratory for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene,
xylenes (BTEX) and total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) . A report
summarizing the results of the investigation will be prepared in
accordance with regulatory agency guidelines. We will restore
the site by filling the boring to surface with a one to one
sand/cement slurry.
The following data is attached:
1 . Permit application,
2. $35.00 Permit fee,
3. Detailed site map,
4 .
