• Additional Site Assessment Work Plan <br /> ' Paige's Towing <br /> 1807 Douglas Road, Stockton, California <br /> ' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> ' At the request of Mr.Bill Watkins of Paige's Towing,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. (AGE)has <br /> prepared the enclosed Additional Site Assessment Work Plan for the property at 1807 Douglas Road, <br /> Stockton, California (the site). The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1. A plan of the site <br /> ' is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> This work plan is prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) for the investigation of unauthorized releases associated <br /> with underground storage tanks (USTs) and in accordance with Appendix A to Tri-Regional <br /> Recommendations - Reporting, dated 30 August 1991, prepared by the Central Valley Regional <br /> ' Water Quality Control Board(Appendix A - Reports). <br /> ' The purpose of this site assessment is to assess the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon impact to soil and/or groundwater at the site. This work plan provides a description of <br /> the scope of work and procedures to be used in soil probe borings, soil and groundwater sample <br /> collection and analysis and soil boring abandonment. <br /> Background information and a description of prior investigations at the site was included in AGE's <br /> ' Preliminary Investigation And Evaluation Report, dated 20 February 1996 and AGE's Quarterly <br /> Report-April 1999, dated 06 July 1999. <br /> ' 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> ' The site is located at 1807 Douglas Road, on the northwest corner of the intersection of Douglas <br /> Road and Harrisburg Road, in the city of Stockton, San Joaquin County, California. The land <br /> surrounding the site is residential. <br /> ' 2.1. PREVIOUS SITE ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES <br /> ' The following is a brief summary of preliminary site assessment field activities conducted at the site: <br /> AGE has been informed that USTs were removed from the site in 1985. The old USTs were <br /> replaced with two new 10,000-gallon USTs. Soil samples were collected beneath each <br /> former UST in 1989 and beneath the associated piping. The samples beneath the USTs <br /> ' indicated the presence of petroleum hydrocarbons. <br /> On 24 and 26 January 1996 six soil probe borings were advanced at the site in the area <br /> surrounding the former USTs and dispenser islands.
