George's
Page 2of 2
measures should be implemented to prevent the further spread of contamination in the
groundwater.
PHS/EHD reviewed the well survey information dated August 25, 1997 prepared by
Geological Technics. The well survey information is incomplete. Domestic wells exist
within a 2000 foot radius of the above referenced site that are not shown on the well
survey map. Every well located within a 2000 foot radius of the site should be shown on
the well survey map. All wells should be clearly correlated to address locations. Any
well logs or construction information should be submitted.
Feasibility tests should be conducted in order to evaluate at least two different
remediation alternatives for soil and water clean up at this site. QM should continue at
this site until otherwise directed by PHS/EHD. Both on-site domestic wells should be
included in the QM schedule and sampled as recommended above. It is not necessary to
analyze for Oxygenates at this site.
A Work Plan addressing the above components should be submitted to PHS/EHD by
October 25, 1999_
Contact Carol Oz, Senior REHS at (209) 468-3440 for scheduling QM sampling events at
this site or if you have questions regarding this letter
Donna Heran, Director
Environmental Health Division
Marg`rio, REHS
Carol Oz, Senior REHS
Site Mitigation Unit IV Supervisor
cc: Mark List-CVRWQCB
Ray Kablanow-Geological Technics
