0 0 0 yginvTo
DEL- TECH Geotechnical Support ServicesAUG 2 1 19955
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
PERMIT/SERVICES
Mary Meays August 21, 1995
San Joaquin County Environmental Health
445 N. San Joaquin Street
Stockton, CA.
RE: GEORGES SERVICE 1600 DURHAM FERRY ROAD, TRACY, CA.
Ms. Meays,
Enclosed is a summary report documenting the most recent tasks that have been completed at the
site referenced above. I appologize for the delay in forwarding this report. Due to extenuating
circumsances and a very demanding work load the completion of this document was delayed.
The overall preliminary conclusion from the last monitoring event is:
1.) The groundwater plume has the initial indications that it has traveled offsite in a north
westerly direction. This area of the site remains undefined as to the limits of the plume.
The investigation was stopped at the northern boundry along Durham Ferry Road on the
west and eastern sides of the site's property line. (SB-5 & SB-6)
2.) The southern vadose perimeter has been defined with the installation of SB-lA.
3.) The southern groundwater perimeter indicated non-detect for the first round of lab.
analysis.
4.) The western side of the site is not fully defined and requires further invesigation.
Elevated levels of hydrocarbon contamination were detected in both the soil and water.
5.) The east side of the site has a septic tank and leach field occupying the area all along the
eastern wall of the site's building. However, due to the calculated gradient of this event,
further borings and or a monitoring point appear necessary outside the influence of the
septic area in a easterly down gradient direction. This initial gradient will be verified
during the next monitoring event of the wells to confirm the direction of the groundwater.
The site has each of the following areas that need to be addresed at a minimum, during the next
field event.
10624 Olive Avenue, Oakdale, CA 95361 (209) 847-8757 • Fax (209) 847-7744
