GEORGE AND MEI T•NISHI • <br /> 1600 Durham Ferry Rd. <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br /> EHD finds the proposed scope of work to be adequate and necessary to address <br /> the current issues on the site and approves the work plan with the following <br /> conditions: <br /> • MTBE concentrations measured by EPA Method 602 must be in close <br /> agreement with the results from the EPA Method 8260 analysis to justify <br /> running only Method 602. <br /> • The EPA Method 8260 analyses for this investigation should include 1,2- <br /> dichloroethane (1 ,2-DCA) and ethylene dibromide (EDB). <br /> • Soil samples should be collected from the proposed screen intervals to <br /> verify the presence of permeable strata, screen intervals should be <br /> adjusted if necessary to be located within permeable strata. <br /> • EHD approves the proposed annual sampling schedule for monitoring <br /> wells MW-105, MW-107, and MW-202 until site conditions are suspected <br /> to have changed to justify a return to quarterly sampling. <br /> • Submit an access agreement for the off-site well and a drilling permit for <br /> each parcel with the $89.00 fee for each parcel to EHD. <br /> • Notify EHD at least 72 hours before scheduled field work. <br /> Questions or comments may be directed to the undersigned by mail (address on <br /> letter head), by e-mail at nhenderson(obsicehd.com, or by telephone at <br /> (209) 468-3436. <br /> Donna Heran, REHS, Director <br /> Environmental Health <br /> /Division <br /> Nuel C.
