Operation and
maintenance (O&M) of the SVE/AS system is conducted twice per month by recording
vapor stream PID readings and air sparging system readings. Dissolved oxygen,
temperature, pH, electric conductivity and oxidation potential readings are recorded
monthly. Groundwater monitoring is performed quarterly and the associated reports are
submitted semi-annually. Ground Zero believes extensive sampling data is no longer
required. hi an effort to be more cost effective, Ground Zero proposes the current
sampling schedule be modified as follows:
• Reduce O&M and system recording activities from bi-weekly to monthly;
• Eliminate monthly monitoring(it will be conducted during the quarterly events);
• Continue quarterly groundwater monitoring for one year after the new wells are
installed; and
• After one year of quarterly monitoring, reduce to semi-annual groundwater
monitoring.
Please contact me at (209) 522-4119 should you have any questions or need more
information.
Thank you,
Eric L.
