The AS wells will be
constructed similar to air sparge wells S-1, A -2 and A -3, using l.b inch diameter PVC casing with
flush threads. The sparge point will consist of a 5-foot long fine screened interval designed to produce Vi
fine bubbles with maximum surface ar A #12 sand filter pack will surround and extend 1 foot abode 2wyC
and below the sparge point. A three-Toot transition seal will be installed above the sand pack by adding
weighted bentonite pellets. A surface seal will be achieved by pumping a neat cement grout (augmented
with < 4% bentonite) via a tremie tube. The tops of the wells will be provided with an injection
wellhead.
Soil Sampling
Select soil samples will be collected in 6.0-inch brass liners using a 2.0-inch modified California split ! X11
spoon sampler. All soil samples will be sealed with Teflon, capped with plastic end caps, labeled and
placed in a cooler at 4° Celsius for transport to a California certified laboratory under Chain of Custody
procedures. Since all three (3) wells will be installed within the excavation backfill, soil samples will be Ji A
collected for laboratory analysis and lithology at depths beneath the bottom of the excavation..These sfliy
samples will be analyzed for TPH-g& BTEX constituents by EPA method 8260B. »]1 S C l
I have attached the laboratory results from the January 2013 and May 2013 groundwater sampling
events. In addition I attached Table 1 with the added units.
Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Andrew Dorn
Ground Zero Analysis, Inc.
6 Geological Technics
1172 Kansas Ave
Modesto,CA 95351
(209)522-4119
5/20/2013
