Geofogical Technics Inc.-- <br /> 2 74.1 <br /> nce274.1 Ruxr Read <br /> Mo&-w,Caafomm 95351 <br /> (209)3-384424IFaC#538-5852 <br /> REPORT <br /> Groundwater Monitoring <br /> Winter Quarter 1996 <br /> George's Service <br /> 1600 Durham Ferry Road <br /> Tracy, California <br /> 1 Project No 425 2 <br />■ June 13, 1997 <br /> • <br /> EXECUTIVE IVE SUYJVi ARY <br /> This report summanzes the monthly groundwater level measurements, groundwater gradient <br /> calculations, and the Winter Quarter 1996 round of groundwater monitoring and testing that <br /> took place on January 17, 1997 The test results show that relatively elevated concentrations <br /> of the aromatic hydrocarbon compounds (BTEX) and gasoline range petroleum hydrocarbons <br />' (TPH-G) are present in monitoring well MW-1 There was about 3/16 of an inch of free <br /> floating gasoline product on the water table in MW-2 This product has been removed daily <br /> from the well using hand bailing methods Samples for analytical purposes were not collected <br />' from this well <br /> Three domestic water wells in the immediate area of the tanks were tested and found not to <br />' have contain gasoline at this time <br /> The groundwater level has fluctuated about three feet since May 1995 A site specific <br />' gradient and bearing could not be calculated because a depth to water measurement was not <br /> made due to the floating product in the well <br />' On April 29 and 30, 1997, five new water table monitoring wells and one discretely screened <br /> monitoring well were installed Both soil and groundwater samples have been collected and <br /> are in the laboratory being tested at this time A site characterization report will be submitted <br /> by the first week of June 1997 which summarizes the findings of this work, draws <br /> . conclusions on the groundwater hydrology and plume dimensions, and makes <br />
