Ceolo icAl rechal" 11tc.
'
11017"Street
Modesto,California 95354
(209)522-4119/Fax(209)522-4227
' REPORT
Groundwater Monitoring
' 3"d Quarter 2004
George's Service
1600 Durham Ferry Road
Tracy, California
' Project No. 425.2
October 19, 2004
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report summarizes the 3rd Quarter 2004 groundwater monitoring and sampling event that
' was completed on July 23, 2004.
' To further evaluate aquifer characteristics and behavior at the site, the aquifer was divided
into four zones. This division is based on well screen intervals and seemed to lend a more
complete understanding of groundwater gradients. These four zones are defined below, with
' the general characteristic:
1. The water table wells, screened from 5 to 22-feet bgs, make up Zone A and have a
gradient of 0.0015 ft/ft flowing NO3E. Depth to groundwater in the Zone A ranged
' between 12.22 and 13.35 feet below ground surface (bgs).
2. The groundwater gradient in the Zone B wells, screened from 32 to 35-feet bgs, was
0.0022 ft/ft flowing N61°W.
' 3. Site-specific groundwater gradients and bearings could not be calculated in the Zones
C & D, since these two horizons do not have three wells spaced properly to allow for
gradient calculations.
' The vertical
component of groundwater flow is usually in the upward direction.
p
' The analytical results from the July 2004, monitoring event show that aromatic hydrocarbon
compounds (BTEX) and gasoline range petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH-G) are present in 5
