This <br /> letter is simply to update you on the activities at the <br /> Ruiz Grocery site. <br /> When we met in September, Ruiz Grocery agreed to <br /> submit the site characterization results by December 15, <br /> 1993. RESNA has been actively conducting site <br /> characterization on-site since October. Unfortunately, <br /> RESNA has not been able to conduct any site <br /> characterization off-site because Ruiz Grocery is required <br /> to post a $2,000 performance bond per-well drilled off- <br /> site. <br /> At least three wells will be needed off--site, meaning <br /> Ruiz Grocery will need to post at least $6,000 in bonds. <br /> We have inquired, but have been informed that the <br /> Underground Storage Tank Clean-up Fund will not reimburse <br /> Ruiz Grocery for the costs associated with the bonds. As <br /> you know, Ruiz Grocery does not have the money to post <br /> $6,000 in bonds.
