However, a San Joaquin County road improvement project that could possibly <br /> impact the integrity of the monitoring and'remediation wells is scheduled to begin before <br /> the end of April 2001. In light of this information, and taking into consideration the most <br /> recent monitoring data, CVRWQCB has verbally agreed to closure of the site and has <br /> approved the expedited destruction of all wells. Formal concurrence from CVRWQCB <br /> will be submitted following receipt of the final monitoring report. <br /> PHSIEHD approves the dismantling of the remediation system and the destruction of all <br /> on-site and off-site wells. Permit applications to destroy the wells have been received <br /> and processed. It is understood that monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-2 will be destroyed <br /> by over-drilling.
