A.
page 2, 4491 Durham Ferry
f
year. However, a San Joaquin County road improvement project that could possibly
impact the integrity of the monitoring and'remediation wells is scheduled to begin before
the end of April 2001. In light of this information, and taking into consideration the most
recent monitoring data, CVRWQCB has verbally agreed to closure of the site and has
approved the expedited destruction of all wells. Formal concurrence from CVRWQCB
will be submitted following receipt of the final monitoring report.
PHSIEHD approves the dismantling of the remediation system and the destruction of all
on-site and off-site wells. Permit applications to destroy the wells have been received
and processed. It is understood that monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-2 will be destroyed
by over-drilling. All other monitoring and remediation wells will be destroyed by pressure
grouting.
If you have any questions or comments please call Lori Duncan at (209)468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS Dot Lofstrom, RG
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV
cc: Marty Hartzell, CVRWQCB
Brian Gwinn, Clearwater Group, Inc.
