(Delta),hasbeen authorized by lei:. Stella Ruiz, the owner of the
Property, to conduct this Phare f H rngrDlogic Invectigarlon in order to define the areaI extent of the
dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon plume. The site is located at 4491 West Durham Ferry Road, Tracy,
California(Figure l).
Y 1of Work
The purpose of this phase of investigation was to determine depth to ground water, ground water flaw
direction, and whether ground water had been impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons. Delta preformed the
following activities to accomplish this objective:
• Drilled two 8-inch-diameter roil borings to depths of approximately 25 feet and converted them
to 2-inch-diamew monitoring wells MW-2 and MW-3 nn August 28, 1991.
• Collected soil samples at S-foot intervals with a modified California sampler for classification
according to the Unified Soil Classification System(USCS).
x • Screened recovered soil samples with a portrble photoionization detector(PID)for the presence
of total organic vapors.
• Selected and submitted two soil samples to a state-certified laboratory for chemical analysis
using U.S.Environmental Protection Agency(EPA)Method 8260 modified for total petroleum
hydrocarbons (rPH) as gasoline, diesel, and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes
(BTFXt with a 10-working-day turnaround.
—
Stockpiled the soil
_cuttings..from drilling-an-visquine and stored on-site.-
PH IOOI.BP
ks
