CLEARWATER <br /> G R O U P I N C <br /> Envrronmtntof Services <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report, submitted by Clearwater Group, Inc (Clearwater) on behalf of Ruiz Grocery, pertains to activities <br /> conducted at the Ruiz Grocery located at 4491 West Durham Ferry Road in Tracy, California (Figure 1) The <br />' report summarizes the results of quarterly groundwater monitoring, and the operation of a soil vapor extraction <br /> (SVE)I air sparge(AS) remediation system for the first quarter of 1999 <br /> 1.1 Site Background <br /> Two gasoline USTs and dispensers were removed from the site in 1988 Seven monitoring wells (MW-1 <br />' through MW-7), one groundwater recovery well (RW-1), four soil vapor extraction wells (VW-1 through VW- <br /> 4), and two air sparge wells (SW-1 and SW-2)have been installed at the site A domestic well (DW), screened <br />' in a deeper water bearing zone, also exists at the site (Table 1) The extent of soil and water contamination has <br /> been delineated Pilot testing has been completed and a remedial action plan prepared based on results <br />' In late summer 1998, a remediation system was installed at the site The system consisted of a soil vapor <br /> extraction and air sparging components Wells RW-1, MW-1, MW-2 and VW-1 through VW-4 are used to <br /> lie extract soil vapors, which are treated by an electric catalytic oxidizer An air compressor is used to deliver air to <br /> the subsurface via wells SW-1 and SW-2 The system became operational on October 7, 1998 <br /> Corrective action at the site is currently being performed under the supervision of San Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Services I Environmental Health Division(SJCPHS/EHD) <br />' 2.0 GROUNDWATER MONITORING - FIRST QUARTER 1999 <br /> Groundwater monitoring was conducted in accordance with requirements set forth by the SJCPHS/EHD All <br /> field activities were conducted in accordance with Clearwater's Groundwater Monitoring and Field Procedures <br />' (Appendix A) <br /> r <br /> D-107 1999 GW & Sys Mon Report 1 Apnl 5, 1999 <br />
