CLEARWATER <br />' C, R O t P [ \ C <br /> Environmental Serr-es <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report, subnutted by Clearwater Group, Inc (Clearwater) on behalf of Ruiz Grocery, pertains <br /> to activities conducted at the Ruiz Grocery located at 4491 West Durham Ferry Road in Tracy, <br /> tCalifornia (Figure 1) The report summarizes the results of quarterly groundwater monitoring, and <br /> the operation of a soil vapor extraction (SVE)I air sparge (AS) remediation system <br /> :.1 Site Background <br /> Two gasoline USTs and dispensers were removed from the site in 1988 Seven monitoring wells <br /> (MW-1 through MW-7), one groundwater recovery well (RW-1), four soil vapor extraction wells <br /> (VW-1 through VW-4), and two air sparge wells (SW-1 and SW-2) have been installed at the site <br /> A domestic well (DW), screened in a deeper water bearing zone, also exists at the site (Table 1) <br />' The extent of soil and water contamination has been delineated Pilot testing has been completed <br /> and a remedial action pian prepared based on results <br /> In late summer 1998, a remediation system was installed at the site The system consisted of a soil <br /> vapor extraction and air sparging components Wells RW-1, MW-I, MW-2 and VW-I through <br /> VW-4 are used to extract soil vapors, which are treated by an electric catalytic oxidizer An air <br /> compressor is used to deliver air to the subsurface via wells SW-1 and SW-2 The system became <br /> operational on October 7, 1998 <br />' Corrective action at the site is currently being performed under the supervision of San Joaquin <br /> County Public Health Services/Environmental Health Division (SJCPHS/EHD) <br /> 2.0 GROUNDWATER MONITORING - FOURTH QUARTER 1998 <br /> Groundwater monitoring was conducted in accordance with requirements set forth by the <br /> SJCPHS/EHD All field activities were conducted in accordance with Clearwater's Groundwater <br /> Monitoring and Field Procedures (Appendix A) <br /> • <br /> D-107 4Q98 GW & Sys Mon Report 1 January 27, 1999 <br />
