Teichert & Son
103 North E Street
Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Grewal:
This letter is a request to aerate gasoline contaminated .
soils on site at 103 North E Street, Stockton, California.
The hydrocarbon content versus depth of excavation is as
follows:
Depth Kg Total _Petroleum _Hydrocarbon
} 0 to 8.5' Est. 0
13.5 1609
13.5 - 18.5 2200
18.5 - 23.5 700 _
23.5 - 28,5 400
28.5 - 33.5 200
5100. Kg. TPH
Soils will be excavated to a depth of about 23+ feet. The
total TPH removed would be about 4,900 Kg. Work will start the
week of August 10, 1987. The average contamination )f soil
removed will be approximately 4000 PPM total hydrocarbons. When
this material is mixed with the clean soil',.-.hat is excavated with
it, the average level of contamination will be in the range of
3000 PPM. It will be tested and spread for aeration per San
Joaquin County APCO standard.
The soil will be lightly irrigated and nitrogen added at a
rate of about 3 pounds per 1,000 s,f. of soil 6" deep to increase
aeration rate. Soil will be covered during rainy weather.
