1
IX. GROUNDWATER MONITORING
1 Prior to measurement, all monitoring wells are opened and expansive sealing-type well
lids are accessed. Groundwater elevations are allowed to stabilize for at least five
minutes prior to measurement. Groundwater elevation, or the potentiometric surface
of the water table, is measured in the monitoring well by electronic transducer. A pre-
cleaned probe is lowered into the well until water is encountered. The depth to water
is measured to the nearest 11100 foot, and recorded. The depth to water Ls
subtracted from the monitoring well elevation to determine the groundwater elevation.
X. ANALYTICAL PROCEDURES
All Soil samples collected for chemical analysis are submitted to a state-certified
analytical laboratory for analysis. Underground storage, tank (UST) soil samples are
analyzed pursuant to lead investigative agency procedures or pursuant to the State of
California Tri-Regional Guidelines for leaking underground fule tanks.
t
1
i
i
r
