' Ms. Linda Turkatte Project OF90-002.03
January 27, 1993
Page 4
GROUNDWATER FLOW DIRECTION
A summary of historical groundwater elevation data for monitoring wells MW-10
' through MW-13, including fourth quarter 1992 data, is presented in Table 1. During
the fourth quarter of 1992, the groundwater elevations generally increased in the
monitoring wells. The groundwater levels probably rose in response to the winter
rains.
Based on water levels measured in wells MW-10 through MW-13, and
top-of-casing elevations, the direction of groundwater flow at the site was toward
' the north (see Drawing 1). Historically, the direction of groundwater flow has
fluctuated and, prior to the fourth quarter monitoring event, the direction of
' groundwater flow was toward the southeast.
ANALYTICAL RESULTS
' Analytical results for the fourth quarter 1992 monitoring event are summarized in
Table 2. Tabular summaries of historical analytical data are also included in this
' table. Certified analytical reports are included in Attachment B. Drawing 2 is a
TPHG and BTEX concentration map.
Floating product was not observed in any of the monitoring wells.TPHG and BTEX
were not detected in the sample from well MW-12, and BTEX was not detected in
the samples from wells MW-10 and MW-1 1. This is consistent with the historical
' analytical data for these wells. TPHG was detected in the samples from wells MW-
10, MW-11 , and MW-13. The highest concentration was detected in the sample
from well MW-13, which contained 8.8 milligrams per liter of TPHG. The TPHG
' concentrations reported for the samples from wells MW-10 and MW-11 were
reported by the laboratory to be lower boiling point hydrocarbon mixtures
quantitated as gasoline.
Petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations measured during the fourth quarter 1992
sampling event were generally similar to historical analytical results (see Table 2).
STATEMENT OF LIMITATIONS
The services described in this report were performed consistent with generally
accepted professional consulting principles and practices.
