The analytical results of the soil vapor sample collected from well MW-13
' are listed in Table 6, and the analytical reports and chain-of-custody
documentation are included in Appendix E. The concentration of total fuel
(nonmethane hydrocarbons) was 16 parts per million by volume or
61 milligrams per cubic meter. This concentration is equivalent to
approximately 0.1 percent of the lower explosive limit (LEL) for gasoline. If
a full-scale system extracted soil vapor from well MW-13 consistently at this
concentration and a flow rate of 20 cfm, the mass removal rate would be
approximately 0.11 pounds of total fuel per day. This calculation is included
in Appendix I.
i
i
i
rpj01of9010f900020.1 ag5 - 3 Rev. 0 December 15, 1992
