q
 INTRODUCTION
EMCON Associates prepared this work plan on behalf of A. Teichert &
Son, Inc. (Teichert) to remediate soil and complete the characterization of
ground water impacted with petroleum hydrocarbons. In summary, the
proposed work involves removal of soil surrounding a former pump island,
' excavation of potentially diesel-impacted soil from a former tank location
near the east side of the site, collection of confirmation soil samples for
chemical analysis, drilling an exploratory soil boring, and installing one
ground-water monitoring well. The subject site is the Teichert mobile
w
equipment facility located at 103 North E Street, Stockton, California (see
1 Figure 1). The objectives of this work plan are to (1) characterize shallow }
ground water, (2) complete soil remediation at the site, and (3) assess
whether petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in the remaining soil adja-
cent to the former tants excavations is sufficiently low enough for closure to
be granted for the site.
' A copy of this work plan should be submitted to the San Joaquin County i
Environmental Health Department and Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board for comment prior to implementation. After receiving
' approval to proceed, EMCON Associates will promptly schedule the field
activities. The subsequent report will be issued within 4 weeks following
' receipt of the certified analytical reports for sample analysis.
1
p#492V920201 a 1 Rev. 0 June 1, 1992
Mon RSsocliates
