• Mr. Harlin Knoll August 19, 2002 San Joaquin County Public Health Services Project No. 2001-0103-01 Page 3 Sampling, Analysis, and Monitoring Program Results Groundwater samples were collected from wells MW-13 and MW-14 on June 4, 2002. Appendix B presents the sampling procedures used. Samples were forwarded for analysis, with appropriate chain-of-custody documentation, to Alpha Analytical Laboratory, a California state certified laboratory. Groundwater samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoling (TPHG) using USEPA Method SW8015B/DHS LUFT Manual, and for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE), 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), and. 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB), using USEPA Method SW8260B, and for total lead using USEPA Method 200.8. Second quarter 2002 groundwater analytical data are presented in Table 1. Certified analytical reports and chain-of-custody records are included in Appendix C. TPHG, BTEX, and MTBE were detected in the sample collected from well MW-13 at concentrations generally consistent with the previous sampling event (October 3, 2001). • TPHG (0.27 mg/L), ethylbenzene (2.7 pg/L), xylenes (8.7 µg/L), TBA (7.0 µg/L), and 1,2-DCA (15 pg/L) were detected in the sample collected from well MW-14.
