phase_II Field Investigation Description
A scope of work for phase II subsurface investigation was submitted
to and approved by RWQCB and San Joaquin Co. Environmental Health
(Appendix D) . The field work consisted generally of:
1) Drilling three bore holes and converting them into monitor
wells. The location of these wells MW 9, 10 and 11 are shown
on the Site Plan (Plate No. 2) .
2) Soil samples from the bore holes were to be taken every five
feet for soil logging. Soil samples were to be analyzed for
TPH, and BTX & E, starting at 30 feet deep.
3) After the bore holes were converted to monitor wells, water
samples were to be analyzed for TPH & BTX & E.
bore Holes/Monitor Wells 9 1 &
i
1) Three bore holes, using 8" augers were drilled using a' CME-
550 drill furnished by All Terrain. Soil samples were taken
every 5 feet of depth using a modified California sampler.
After soil sampling, bore hole/MW 11 was redrilled using a 12"
auger. Four-inch well screen and casing was installed. Two-inch
well screen and casing was installed in MW 9 & 10.
