Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS-EHD) has reviewed the Quarterly Summary Reports <br /> recently submitted by EPM Technologies and has the following <br /> comments . <br /> The proposal to move approximately 40 cubic yards of contaminated <br /> soil from Steve' s Rentals to across the street to the former <br /> Reeve' s Exxon site is approved with conditions . <br /> Ex-situ bioremediation is considered a corrective action and as <br /> such will require Public Notification. In order to notify the <br /> public, an Executive Summary, a detailed workplan describing the <br /> technical methods to be utilized, and posting of the site are all <br /> required by PHS-EHD for review and approval . <br /> Written approval from San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution <br /> Control District is also required prior to any enactment of the <br /> corrective action. <br /> The Executive Summary is a non-technical concise document that <br /> the public may read and get a general overview of the history of <br /> the site and the proposed work. Anyone requiring a more technical <br /> description of the site' s historical data and remediation <br /> proposal will be directed in the posted Notice of Findings to <br /> review the workplan at PHS-EHD or a designated public place in <br /> the neighborhood. <br /> The technical workplan should include the details of the <br /> corrective action, in this case, diagrams, materials, and other <br /> specific items related to "aerobic biodegradation" . <br /> A time schedule showing monitoring dates of the process, site <br /> security, and the date the process will be completed should be <br /> A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
