Once'the grout had sufficiently set, Fisch restored the ground surface
with cold patch asphalt. Fisch used-the same method to destroy wells MW-4 and MW-5 (2-inch
diameter wells) using 8-inch diameter hollow stem augers. Well MW-5, located in the sidewalk
north of Grant Line Road, was destroyed under a City of Tracy Encroachment Permit (see
Attachment 1). At the request of Mr. Mark Ruiz of the City of Tracy, the upper 2-3 feet of the bore-
hole for well MW-5 was filled with native soil in advance of road work being conducted for the City
of Tracy.
No soil cuttings were produced during well destruction. The inert materials removed from the wells
PVC casing and screen were laced into a steel 55-gallon drum endin disposal.
well vaults and ) p g P g P -
„ ( g _ .
These waste materials were later transported to Foothill Landfill, a licensed Class III sanitary landfill
in Linden, California. Residual purged groundwater from the site was removed by American Valley
Waste Oil Inc. for disposal/recycling as non-hazardous liquid waste.
