r <br /> GROUND ZERO ANALYSIS, INC. <br /> 1714 Main Street <br /> Ewealon, C Morma 95320-1927 <br /> Telephone: (209)838-9888 <br /> Fnesonde (209)838-9883 <br /> November 3, 1998 <br /> E y - <br /> Mr Michael Infurna <br /> San Joaquin County PHS/EHD <br /> P O Box 0388 -y <br /> Stockton, CA 95201-0388 G "' <br /> r y _ <br /> Subject Annual Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling Report <br /> Former Reeve's Exxon, 2360 East Street, Tracy, California <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> This letter report summarizes the results of the 1998 annual activities at the subject site The site <br /> location is shown on Figure 1 Site activities consisted of measuring depth to water in all site <br /> wells, purging and sampling the wells, analyzing samples for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and <br /> xylenes (BTEX), and total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (MHg), and disposing of purged <br /> ground water <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> Groundwater monitoring was conducted on September 8, 1998 Depth to groundwater in wells <br /> MW 1, MW2, and MW3 ranged from 6 70 to 7 28 feet below grade, and fell an average of 0.01 <br /> feet since the last monitoring event on October 22, 1997 The groundwater flow direction at the <br /> time of measurement was generally towards the northeast, with a gradient of approximately 0 004 <br /> ft/ft A groundwater gradient map for September 9, 1998 is presented on Figure 2 Groundwater <br /> monitoring data are summarized m Table 1 <br /> GROUNDWATER SAMPLING <br /> Wells MW1, MW2, and MW3 were purged of at least three well casing volumes and sampled on <br /> September 9, 1998 All purge water was contained and placed in properly labeled 55 gallon <br /> drums Field purge logs are included in Attachment A Groundwater samples were submitted to <br /> Argon Laboratories (FLAP #1873) and analyzed for BTEX and TPHg using EPA methods 8020 <br /> and 8015, respectively <br /> pestana 0361annual98 doc <br />
