It appears that no action was taken to <br /> contain or recover the lost fuel until April 11-12 , 1991 , <br /> when all underground storage tanks were excavated and <br /> removed and soil samples were acquired from the tank pits <br /> and pipeline trenches During December, 1991 , three <br /> groundwater monitoring wells and ten soil borings were <br /> drilled and logged, and soil samples acquired . On March <br /> 17 , 1994 , four soil borings were augered through the <br /> sidewalk dust north of the site Each of the borings were <br /> logged Soil and grab water samples were obtained <br /> Page 8 <br />
