` a <br /> ' CP <br /> GROUND ZERO ANALYSIS, INC. <br /> 1714 Main Street 4. <br /> Escalon, Cahforma 95320-1927 <br /> Telephone (209)838-9888 <br /> Facsimile (209)838-9883 <br /> April 5, 2002 <br /> Mr Michael Infurna <br /> San Joaquin County Department of Environmental Health <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> Subject Confirmation Sampling and Request for Case Closure <br /> Former Reeve's Exxon, 2360 East Street, Tracy, California <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> This letter report summarizes the results of confirmation groundwater sampling conducted at the <br /> subject site on behalf of the John Pestana QTIP Trust A map showing the site location is <br /> presented on Figure 1 <br /> i <br /> Site activities consisted of measuring depth to water, purging all site wells, and collecting <br /> groundwater samples from all site wells The groundwater samples were analyzed for benzene, <br /> toluene, ethylbenzene xylenes (BTEX), total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), 1,2- <br /> dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), ethylene dibromide (EDB), gasoline oxygenate additives [methyl- <br /> tert-butyl ether (MTBE), ethyl-tert-butyl ether (ETBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), tert-amyl <br /> methyl ether (TAME), tert-butyl alcohol (TBA), methanol and ethanol] and lead <br /> SITE ACTIVITIES <br /> Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling <br /> Groundwater monitoring and sampling was conducted on February 5, 2002 The depth to <br /> groundwater in site wells ranged from 6 42 to 7 15 feet below grade Groundwater flow beneath <br /> the site was toward the northeast at a gradient of approximately 0 006 ft/ft A groundwater <br /> gradient map for February 5, 2002 is presented on Figure 2 Groundwater monitoring data are <br /> summarized in Table 1 <br /> At least three well casing volumes of water were purged from wells MWI, MW2, and MW3 <br /> prior to sampling All purge water was contained in properly labeled 55-gallon drums Field <br /> • purge logs are included in Attachment A Groundwater samples were submitted to Argon <br /> G\Data\GROUNDZE\PESTANA\PESTANA 036\REP0RTS\c1osure02 doc <br />
