Soil samples will be stored in a <br /> cooler with ice, transported to a state certified laboratory for <br /> analysis with COC documentation. # <br /> The four soil samples will be composited in the laboratory and <br /> analyzed to establish the basis for aeration. <br /> Task 5 <br /> The excavated soil will be turned every two weeks and sampled at <br /> locations determined by random. This process should be completed <br /> when the concentrations of gasoline in the soil is less than 10 <br /> parts per million. <br /> Soil samples [four are anticipated3 will be collected in brass <br /> liner covered on both ends with Teflon tape, capping with plastic <br /> caps and sealing the caps with plastic tape. Soil samples will <br /> be labeled and logged under Chain--of-Custody (COC) control. Soil <br /> samples will be stored in a cooler with ice, transported to a <br /> state certified laboratory for analysis with COC documentation. <br /> The four soil samples will be composited in the laboratory and <br /> analyzed to determine how well the aeration process is <br /> progressing. <br /> Task 6 <br /> The soil samples collected will be analyzed for Total Petroleum <br /> Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPHG) , Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene <br /> and Xylene (BTEX) via EPA protocol 8015 Modified at a California <br /> State Certified Laboratory. � �/ C'- <br /> Task <br /> Task 7 <br /> The soil which has been remediated, i.e. has a concentration of <br /> less than 10 parts per million TPHG, in conformance with the San <br /> Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District (SJVUAPCD) <br /> Rule 4651 requirements, shall be placed back in the former UST <br /> excavation. <br /> Task 8 <br /> 5 <br /> A report will be prepared to document the results of the aeration <br /> and the laboratory analyses of the samples. The report will <br /> include a summary of the field work, COC documentation, certified <br /> analytical results , conclusions and recommendations regarding <br /> the potential environmental liabilities, if any, at the site. <br /> Two copies of the report will be submitted to the client for his <br /> use as required by the Air District permit. <br /> 3 <br />
