Warehouse
storage supports commercial delivery of drums, therefore the number of portable containers stored onsite
will vary.
2.2.3 Countermeasures and Disposal [40 CFR 112.7(a)(3)(iv) and(v)]
Staff responsible for the Facility are trained in the location and use of absorbents and spill notification
requirements.Transporters maintain additional spill equipment on their vehicles and are to respond to spills
during filling operations. The drivers are required to immediately notify the Facility Response Coordinator
of any spills. "Report Spills Immediately" signs including VPPS contact information should be located in
plain view at the fueling islands.
Minor spills are to be cleaned up upon identification by VPPS personnel using absorbent materials. Used
absorbent or spill-containment materials are to be placed in empty 55-gallon drums with secure covers and
transported for proper disposal when no longer absorbent. A qualified disposal contractor is employed to
collect the spent spill containment materials. Spills of sufficient volume will require a qualified disposal
contractor to remove any oil spills.
Os
a41 CONDOF
