Marina Investors for a site <br /> investigation of potential soil and groundwater impaction at King Island Resort, 11530 West <br /> .. Eight Mile Road, Stockton, California (Figure 1). This report details the results of that <br /> investigation. <br /> 2.0 SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located on the east levee of the Honker Cut within the Sacraments) - San Joaquin <br /> Ie—itz. The site is currently used as a marina for pleasure and recreational boats and <br /> encompasses approximately 6 acres of property along West Eight Mile Road (Figure 2). <br /> The Marina property contains three underground storage tanks which are used to fuel boats. <br /> The tanks consist of one 6,000-gallon regO r, one 2,000-gallon unleaded, and one 4,000-gallon <br /> diesel tw!,'-. The top of the tanks are visible from the surface. <br /> E. <br /> On July 36, 1988 and again on May 11, 1989 each product tank was tested by Telesis Tank <br /> ' Testing o;;Sacramento, California. All tanks on bath o-xasions passed the integrity test and <br /> were certified as tight. <br /> On August 19, 1989 diesel fuel was discovered leaking from a product line between the <br /> gasoline and diesel lines were subsequently <br /> buildings and the back side of the levee. Both g <br /> mpacted soil was excavated and disposed of by Falcon <br /> removed and placed above ground. I <br /> Energy Associates of Stockton,California.
