1710 Main Street PO <br /> Escalon, CA 95320 <br /> Phone (209) 838-3507 <br /> FAX (209) 838-3509 <br /> April 15, 1994 <br /> Mr Michael Infurna <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> P O Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> Subject First Quarter 1994 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> l <br /> King Island Resort Site Code 1557 <br /> 11530 W Eight Mile Road, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> This letter report is to present results of first quarter 1994 monitoring and sampling activities at 11530 <br /> West Eight Mile Road, Stockton, California (Figure 1) <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> Groundwater monitoring and sampling were conducted by RESNA personnel on March 14, 1994 <br /> Water level measurements were collected from each monitoring well prior to purging and sampling <br /> Water levels rose an average of 0 34 feet since the last monitoring event in December 1993 (Table 1) <br /> A groundwater gradient map was created using the data collected on March 14, 1994 (Figure 2) <br /> Groundwater flow was to the northeast, away from the slough, with a gradient of 0 064 feet/foot <br /> Subsequent to monitoring, wells MWI and MW6 were purged by extracting approximately 5 well <br /> casing volumes Groundwater parameters (temperature, conductivity, and pH) were monitored and <br /> allowed to stabilize before water samples were collected Samples were collected using dedicated, <br /> disposable bailers with bottom emptying devices to reduce volatilization The samples were <br /> transported to and analyzed by state-certified Argon Mobile Labs in Ceres, California All purged <br /> groundwater was contained in DOT approved 55 gallon drums and remains on site pending appropriate <br /> disposal Groundwater monitoring data and well purge logs are included in Attachment 1 <br /> Samples were analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX) using EPA <br /> Method 8020, and total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) and total petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> as diesel (TPHd) using modified EPA Method 8015 Analytical results are summarized in Table 2 <br /> Monitoring well MW 1 contained no detectable concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents <br /> 1500751QUARTLYI4QR-1993 FNL <br />
