WorEung To Restore Nature
1710 Main Street
Escalon, CA 95320
Phone (209) 838-3507
FAX (209) 838-3509
July 15, 1993
Mr. Michael Infurna
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
RE: Second Quarter 1993 Groundwater Monitoring Report and Workplan Addendum, King
Island Resort, 11530 W Eight Mile Road, Stockton, California Site Code: 1557
Dear Mr. Infurna-
Enclosed are the Second
Quarter 1993 groundwater monitoring results for the above referenced
site (Figure 1). Groundwater monitoring and sampling was conducted by RESNA Industries,
Inc (RESNA)personnel on June 28, 1993 Water level measurements were collected from each
morutoring well prior to purging and sampling (Attachment 1) Water levels have dropped an
average of 1.47 feet since the last monitoring event in March 1993 (Table 1). A groundwater
gradient map was created using the data collected on June 28, 1993 (Figure 2). Groundwater
flows northeast, away from the slough, with a gradient of 0 065 feet/foot or approximately 340
feet/nule.
Subsequent to monitoring, each well (MW1 - MWS) was purged by extracting approximately
3 well casing volumes While purging, the groundwater parameters (temperature, conductivity,
and pH) were monitored and allowed to stabilize before water samples were collected. The
samples were transported to and analyzed by state-certified Argon Mobile Ubs in Ceres,
California. All purged groundwater was contained in DOT approved 55 gallon drums and
remains on site pending appropriate disposal
Samples were analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX) using EPA
Method 8020, and total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG) and total petroleum
hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHD) using modified EPA Method 8015. Monitorng Wells MW1,
MW2, and MW3 did not contain detectable concentrations of the petroleum hydrocarbon
. constituents Monitoring wells MW4 and MW5 contained low to moderate levels of BTEX and
2QR-1943 FNL
!ol
