Water level measurements were collected from <br /> each monitoring well prior to purging and sampling (Attachment 1). Water levels have <br /> decreased an average of 0 11 feet since the last monitoring event in September 1992 (Table 1) <br /> A groundwater gradient map was cried using the data collected on December 2, 1992 (Figure <br /> 2) Groundwater flows northeastward, away from the slough, with a gradient of 0 066 feet/feet <br /> or approximately 350 feet/mile <br /> Subsequent to monitoring, each wejlk(MW1 - MW5) was purged by extracting a minimum of <br /> approximately 3 well using volumes While purging, the groundwater parameters (temperature, <br /> conductivity, and ) were monitored and allowed to stabilize before water samples were <br /> collected The samples were transported to and analyzed by state-certified RESNA <br /> Environmental Laboratones in Fremont, California <br /> Samples were analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX) using EPA <br /> Method 8020 and, total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG) and total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHD) using modified EPA Method 8015. Monitoring Wells MW 1, <br /> MW2, and MW3 did not contain detectable concentrations of the petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> constituents Monitoring wells MW4 and MWS contained low to moderate levels of BTEX and <br /> TPHG TPHD was detected only in well MW4 The approximate extent of dissolved <br />• <br /> QR121392 FNL <br /> J <br />
