GE <br /> Environmental Health Division F N V I R 0 r %A p) r 4 L H E A L i`~r <br /> P O Box 2009 PERMIT/SE-OlUb <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> RE: Second Quarter 1992 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> King Island Resort, 11530 W Eight Mile Road, Stockton, CA <br /> Site Code 1557 <br /> Dear Mr Infurna- <br /> Enclosed are the Second Quarter 1992 groundwater monitonng results for the above referenced <br /> site Groundwater monitoring and sampling was conducted by RESNA Industries personnel on <br /> April 20, 1992 Water level measurements were collected from each monitoring well prior to <br /> purging and sampling (Attachment 1) Water levels have nsen from 0 30 to 1 88 feet since last <br /> monitoring in October 1991 (Table 1) A groundwater gradient map was created using the data <br /> collected on April 20, 1992 (Figure 1) The gradient is approximately 0 07 feet/feet or 370 <br /> feet/mile in a northeast direction <br /> Subsequent to monitoring, each well was purged by extracting approximately 4 well volumes' <br /> While purging, the groundwater parameters (temperature, conductivity, and pH) were monitored <br /> and allowed to stabilize before water samples were collected The samples were transported to <br /> and analyzed by state-certified Sequoia Analytical in Redwood City, California <br /> Samples were analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX) using EPA <br /> Method 8020/602 and, Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) and Total Petroleum <br /> Hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHd) using modified EPA Method 8015. Monitoring Wells MW1, <br /> MW2, and MW3 did not contain detectable concentrations of any petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> analyte Monitoring wells MW4 and MW5 contain benzene concentrations of 110 and 1,500 <br /> µg/L, TPHg concentrations of 310 and 6,100 ttg/L, and TPHd concentrations of 2200 µg/L and <br /> 4300 µg/L, respectively Monitoring well MW4 did not contain detectable concentrations of <br /> toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes MW5 contains detectable levels of toluene, <br /> ethylbenzene, and total xylenes Table 2 summarizes laboratory analyses Laboratory reports <br /> with chain-of-custody documents are included in Attachment 2.
