The site is located on the Fast Side of,levee <br /> The site currently has a mam structure, which is operated as a small market, <br /> as well as numerous Slits for docking boats (Figure 1), on March 9, 1999 <br /> two US3's were removed from the site The two tanks, a 6,000-gallon which <br /> contained gasoline and 4,000-gallon that also continued gasoline, but had <br /> once contained diesel The surrounding area A Wnipr»ed primarily of light <br /> commercial and residential <br /> 1.2 Site Summary <br /> Two diesels US I's were removed from the site on March 9, 1999 <br /> Six -oiI samples were collected, four of the samples were collected beneath <br /> the two tanks The other two samples were collected from soils stacked to <br /> the side of the tank pit. <br /> • <br /> All samples from under the diesel tank were wialyzed by EPA Method 8015 <br /> for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon as gasoline (TPlfgas), EPA Method 8020 <br /> for Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Xylenes (13 fEX) by EPA Method <br /> 8260 oxygenates which included Tertiary Butyl Alcohol (TBA), Di- <br /> isopropyl Ether (DIPE), Methyl Ternary Butyl Fther(MTl3£), Ethyl Ternary <br /> Butyl Ether(L'1 BE), Ternary Amyl Methyl Ether(TAMC) and 1,2- <br /> Dichloroethane, and EPA Method 6010 for total lead All samples except <br /> 99-Kung-005 and 99-King-006 were analyzed by EPA Method 8015 for <br /> Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon as diesel (TPHdiesel) All andiytical data has <br /> been sumrnarved in Table l and 2 <br /> The results of the soil samples were below detection limits for both EPA <br /> Method 8015 for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon as gasoline (I Pligas), and <br /> EPA Method 8020 for Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Xylenes. <br /> (BTEX) <br /> However,the results of the sail samples showed elevated levels for both <br /> 1`PA Method 8015 for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon as diesel (1 Plldiesel), <br /> and EPA Method 8260 oxygenates which included Tertiary Butyl Alcohol <br /> (IBA), lit-isopropyl Ether (D1PE) Methyl Ternary Butyl Ether(M'1 BF), <br /> Ethyl Ternary Butyl Ether (ETRE), Tertiary Amyl Methyl father (TAME) <br /> and 1,2-Dichloroethane 99-King-001, 99-King-003, and 919-King-004 <br /> ranged from 2 3-33 0 ing/lcg for TPHdiesel 99-King-006, 99-King-005. and <br /> 99-King-002 ranged from 2 0-0 12 mg/kg for MTBE by NPA method 8260 <br /> t <br /> i <br />
