(AGE) on behalf of Herman&Helen's Marina(H&H Marina) at 15135 Eight
Mile Road in Stockton(site). The Report discusses the groundwater monitoring activities conducted in
March. However, the Report did not include a discussion regarding efforts to startup the groundwater
remediation system. Regional Board staff requested this information in our 15 April 2005 letter with a
requested due date of 6 May 2005. Based on email correspondence between Ms. Devra Lewis of my
staff and Mr. Daniel Kalmback of AGE, this information would be provided in the quarterly monitoring
report, which was received three weeks past the required due date.
Furthermore, Regional Board staff, as stated in several previous letters, does not concur with the
conclusion that the pollution at the site is from the underground storage tanks removed in 1991 instead
of the aboveground tanks that are actively used at the site as stated in the Site Conceptual Model Section
of Appendix A of the Report.
By 1 July 2005, H&H Marina must submit a letter discussing efforts to begin groundwater remediation.
Failure to meet the 1 July 2005 date will result in my recommendation for an appropriate enforcement
action.
As of 15 June 2005,Ms. Devra Lewis will no longer be the project manager for this site. Until a new
project manager is assigned, correspondence and inquiries should be directed to me.
