REPORT <br /> ADDITIONAL SOIL AND GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATION <br /> Ilerman & Ilclen's Marina <br /> Venice Island Ferry <br /> Stockton, CA <br /> Prepared by: <br /> ICondor Earth Technologies, Inc. <br /> December 11, 1997 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Condor Earth Technologies, Inc. (Condor) conducted an additional soil and groundwater <br /> investigation on September 10, 15. and 18, 1997, at Herman &. Helen's Marina, located at Venice <br /> Island Ferry, near Stockton, California (Figures 1 and 2, Appendix A). Four monitor wells were <br /> Idrilled, installed, developed, surveyed, and sampled as part of the investigation. The purpose of the <br /> work was to further investigate the lateral extent of gasoline and diesel contamination at the site. The <br /> �%ork \vas co[ldueted at the request of i'Ir. David Smith of Herman & Hclen's Marina. This report <br /> includes a site background, a description of the field and analytical methods used to conduct the »ork. <br /> a description of the field and analytical results of the investigation, and conclusioiis.lrecommendations. <br /> The investigation was conducted in accordance with the Work Ilan for Monitor lf•rll <br /> Installation, dated May 30, 1997 (prepared by Condor). The ,\ork plan was approved by Mr. Ronald <br /> Rowe of the San Joaquin County Public Heaith Services/Environmental health Division (PHS/THD) <br /> Oil July 8, 1997. 1n subsequent telephone conversations with Condor, Mr. Rowe requested that the soil <br /> and ground\vater samples collected during the investigation be analyzed for gasoline oxygenates by <br /> EPA Method 8260 in addition to the analyses described by the approved Work Plan. The Work Plan <br /> was also approved by Reclamation District No. 2029, with conditions. in a letter dated July 17, 1997. <br />' Reclamation District No. 2029 indicated that Herman & Helen's Marina would be required to maintain <br /> viable well seals in the event of artesian flow and to properly abandon the wells following the <br />' groundwater monitoring program. <br /> ;i� CONDOR <br />
