The PEA Report was submitted to meet the <br /> requirements outlined in the Oversight and Consultative'Agreement HSA-A 99/00-009t : <br /> effective August 22, 1999. <br /> j <br /> 'The purpose of the PEA is to determine whether past or.current practices have t <br /> resulted in,the release or threatened release of hazardous substances which pose a <br /> threat to public health`or the environment. The property is currently vacant and was <br /> pu chased by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Stockton for the purposes of,°.:' <br /> developing into a water square/public meeting area..-This IEtter.'provides afinal <br /> determination for the need for further remedial action or land use conditions, <br /> Former uses of the 1,9 acre Site includes: freight and transportation companies for <br /> storage.merchandise, Bridgestone Tire and Auto Repair, and a Shell gasoline service. <br /> station: A significant portion of the Site is a covered lot supported'by treated wood R <br /> pilings., All underground storage tanks (USTs) have been removed under�th,e ' } <br /> oversight of the San ,9oaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> Division (SJCEHD).
