All constituents, except benzene are
below State Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCL';). The furthest down gradient well, MW4,
contained nondetectable concentrations of BTEX and 140 ug/l TPHG, down from 600 µg11 i
TPHG in April. Laboratory reports with chain-of-custody documents are presented in
Attachment 2. Table 2 summarizes laboratory results since April 1991. a
A water sample was collected on August 29, 1991 from the Baker tank used to contain water
from monitoring well 5 during the groundwater pumping test conducted on April 26 and 27,
{ 1991. The results of the analysis showed that the sample (WP BT) contained no BTEX or
TPHG concentrations. The Baker tank contained approximately 1800 gallons of groundwater.
The water was discharged to the City of Stockton sanitary sewer system on September 20, 1991
with the necessary approval and permit from the Public Works office of the City of Stockton.
Two recovery wells, RW-1 and RW-2, were drilled on Nova„xoer 6 and 7, 1991. Vapor
extraction well VP-4 was drilled on November 8, 1991 in the vicinity of the eastern dispenser I
island. Selected soil samples were collected from each well and submitted for Iaboratory
analysis. The laboratory reports will be submitted once they are received. Construction of tete
soil and groundwater remediation systems was begun in early November. The removal of the
waste oil tank is slated to begin once the Closure Permit is granted from the San Joaquin County !
Public Health Services.
You will be informed at least 24 hours in advance of any site activities.
