Fax(916)786 7830 <br /> AM ENVIRONMENTAL, INC <br /> January 26, 1994 <br /> Mr Lynn Walker <br /> Environmental Engineer <br /> Post Office Box 5278 <br /> Concord California 94529 <br /> Subject Background Water Quality Analytical Results <br /> C M Weber Property <br /> 141 N E1 Dorado Avenue Stockton California <br /> Dear Mr Walker <br /> F <br /> Aegis Environmental Inc (Aegis) is submitting this letter to document the results of <br /> recent groundwater and surface water sampling at the subject site The sampling was <br /> agreed upon in the October 29, 1993 meeting between Aegis, Shell, and the site property <br /> owners The purpose of the sampling was to assess 1) whether background <br /> groundwater quality at the site limited potential beneficial uses, and 2) the quality of the <br /> nearby Stockton Deep Water Shipping Channel surface water body and its potential <br /> adverse effect on site groundwater if background groundwater quality has already limited <br /> potential beneficial uses then an argument may be made to the California Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region that the low concentrations of <br /> dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons currently present will not further limit potential <br /> beneficial uses <br /> On November 4 and 11 , 19)3 Aegis personnercolledted groundwater samples from the <br /> shipping channel and groundwater monitoring well MW-5, a well consistently free of <br /> dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons The samples were analyzed for Safe Drinking Water <br /> Act and California Title 22 parameters and compounds including metals nitrates, sulfates, <br /> chlorides total dissolved solids color odor turbidity conductance volatile organics <br /> (purgeables), semi-volatile organics (acid & base/neutrals), total coliform, and E coli <br /> 3 01'1�I, <br />
