a <br /> envie'°®So <br /> 7: 30 <br /> June 28, 1996 <br /> Ms. Mary Meays <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> P O Box 388 <br /> Stockton, California 95201-0388 <br /> RE: Soil Boring Installation Report <br /> Former Shell Service Station <br /> C M Weber Enterprises Property <br /> 141 North El Dorado Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> WIC #204-7524-1509 <br /> Dear Ms Meays <br /> This report documents drilling activities performed at the above referenced site (Plates I <br /> and 2) The scope of work included drilling eight exploratory soil borings, collecting soil <br /> samples for petroleum hydrocarbon analysis, and preparation of this report The work was <br /> performed to address San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS) <br /> correspondence dated January 25, 1995 Enviros, Inc (Enviros) performed the work in <br /> accordance with the September 29, 1995 "Remediation Summary, System Shut-off <br /> Request, and Confirmation Soil Boring Workplan" prepared by Fugro West, Inc , and <br /> Enviros' February 29, 1996 "Work Plan Addendum " The drilling activities were <br /> performed to comply with SJCPHS and Regional Water Quality Control Board guidelines <br /> 1.0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The subject site is located on the southwest comer of the intersection of El Dorado <br /> Street and Channel Street in Stockton, California, and is currently occupied by an <br /> automotive repair shop and a parking lot The former underground fuel storage <br /> tanks (USTs) were removed in 198I and the former waste oil tank was removed in <br /> 1991 A summary of the site background was presented in Enviros' February 29, <br /> 1996 "Work Plan Addendum " <br /> 2.0 FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> 2.1 Exploratory Soil Borings <br /> Eight exploratory soil borings were drilled and sampled on April 2 and 3, 1996 using a <br /> hollow-stem auger drilling rig The locations and designations of each boring are shown <br /> on Plate 2 The soil borings were drilled adjacent to previously installed wells or borings <br /> to evaluate the effectiveness of the soil vapor extraction system in removing petroleum <br /> Enviros, Inc 270 Perkins Street Sonoma California Tel 707/935 4850 <br /> P 0 Box 259 95476 0259 Fax 707/935 6549 <br />
