I lid <br /> November 3, 1994 1050 Melody Lane suite 160 <br /> Roseville California 95678 <br /> Project No 9347-3011 Tel (916)782-2110 <br /> FAX (916)786 7830 <br /> Mr Lynn Walker <br /> Shell Oil Company <br /> Post Office Box 4023 <br /> Concord, California 94524 <br /> Subject Groundwater Monitonng and Remediation Status Report <br /> Third Quarter 1994 <br /> Former Shell Service Station (WIC No 204-7524-1509) <br /> 141 N EI Dorado, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Walker <br /> Fugro West, Inc (Fugro), is pleased to provide Shell Oil Company the attached information <br /> documenting the results of quarterly groundwater monitoring, conducted on August 16 1994, at <br /> the subject site by Blaine Tech Services, Inc , of San Jose, California (Attachment 1), results of <br /> soil venting system sampling (Attachment 2), groundwater pumping/ sewer discharge sampling <br /> ( Attachment 3), and groundwater oxygenation (GO) system monitoring for dissolved oxygen <br /> (Attachment 4) <br /> Site remediation systems, consisting of groundwater recovery with discharge to sewer, GO, and <br /> soil venting with granular activated carbon (GAC) emissions control, are currently in operation <br /> Soil Vent System Operation <br /> The venting system operation (extraction from VEW-1, VEW-2, VEW-3, and VEW-4) <br /> commenced on June 23, 1993 Vapor extraction from monitoring well N4W-3 commenced on <br /> July 8, 1994 Fugro has performed soil vent system monitoring according to the aii permit <br /> (Permit to Operate No N-1133-2-0 and Authority to Construct Permit No N-1 133-2-1 ) issued <br /> by the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District System monitoring results and <br /> calculations are included as Attachment 7 Between June 1 and October 4 1994 ail estimated <br /> 126 pounds of TPH, as gasoline, were extracted from sub-surface vapors based on laboratory <br /> analytical results During the period between June 23, 1993 and October 4, 1994 cumiilative <br /> TPH (as gasoline) extraction from subsurface vapors is estimated at 1,532 pounds, based on <br /> laboratory analytical results System monitoring information, including airflow, hydrocarbon <br /> concentrations, and extraction rates is included in Attachment 2 <br /> 9347301 i DQR A member of the Fugro group of companies with offices throughout the world <br />
