} <br /> �BRn <br /> �l FUGRO WEST, INC. <br /> 1050 Melody Lane,suite 160 <br /> Rosevilla California 95678 <br /> Te[ (916)782-2110 <br /> FAX (916)786-7830 <br /> May 4, 1994 <br /> Mr Lynn Walker <br /> Shell Oil Company <br /> Post Office Box 5278 <br /> Concord, California 94520 <br /> Subject First Quarter 1994 Groundwater Monitoring and RemedlationStatus Report <br /> Former Shell Service Station (WIC No 204-7524-1509) <br /> 141 N EI Dorado, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Walker <br /> Fugro West, Inc (Fugro), is pleased to provide Shell Oil Company the attached <br /> information documenting the results of quarterly groundwater monitoring, conducted on <br /> February 15, 1994, at the subject site by Blaine Tech Services, Inc , of San Jose, <br /> California <br /> Groundwater recovery/sewer discharge and soil venting system with granular activated <br /> carbon (GAC) emissions control are currently in operation The groundwater recovery <br /> system operation (pumping from wells RW-1 and RW-2) commenced on March 2, 1993 <br /> The venting system operation (extraction from VEW 1, VEW-2, VEW-3, and VEW-4) <br /> commenced on June 23, 1993 Remediation system monitoring is being performed per <br /> regulatory requirements The venting system operation was shut down between <br /> September 21 and November 4, 1993 due to replacement of spent GAC The venting <br /> system operation was shutdown again between January 27 and March 17, 1994 due to <br /> replacement of spent GAC <br /> Fugro performed groundwater effluent monitoring according to the sewerdischarge permit <br /> issued by the City of Stockton Municipal Utilities Department The sewer discharge <br /> permit was renewed for 1994 with quarterly sewer discharge sampling and monitoring <br /> requirements Sewer discharge results since system startup in March 1993 are included <br /> as Attachment 3 During the period between March 2, 1993 and April 5, 1994, an <br /> estimated 4,225,965 gallons of ground water containing dissolved hydrocarbons were <br /> pumped from RW-1 and RW-2 and discharged into the sewer <br /> 23-MIDQMR U S operating companies in California, Louisiana, Missouri, and Texas <br /> International operating companies in Australia Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, <br /> Malaysia, The Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, United Kingdom, and United Arab Emirates. <br />
