} 1050 Melody Lane, Suite 160, Roseville, 'Caliifornict X5678 <br /> Fad 7830 <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL, INC. <br /> February 1, 1994 <br /> Mr Lynn Walker <br /> Shell Oil Company <br /> Post Office Box 5278 <br /> Concord, California 94520 <br /> Subject Quarterly Groundwater Mondonng and Remediation Status Report <br /> Former Shell Service Station (WIC No 204-7524-1509) <br /> 141 N EI Dorado, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Walker <br /> Aegis Environmental, Inc (Aegis), is pleased to provide Shell Oil Company the attached <br /> information documenting the results of quarterly groundwater monitoring, conducted on <br /> November 22, 1993, at the subject site by Blaine Tech Services, Inc , of San ,lose, <br /> California <br /> Groundwater recovery/sewer discharge and soil venting system with granular activated <br /> carbon (GAC) emissions control are currently in operation The groundwater recovery <br /> system operation (pumping from wells RW-1 and RW-2) commenced on March 2, 1993 <br /> The venting system operation (extraction from VEW-1, VEW-2, VEW-3, and VEW-4) <br /> commenced on June 23, 1993 Remediation system monitoring is being performed per <br /> regulatory requirements The venting system was shutdown on September 21 , 1993 after <br /> GAC breakthrough was noted After GAC replacement, the venting system was re-started <br /> on November 4, 1993 The system was also shutdown on January 27, 1994 after GAC <br /> breakthrough The system is currently non-operational, pending GAC replacement <br /> Aegis performed groundwater system monitoring according to the sewer discharge permit <br /> issued by the City of Stockton Municipal Utilities Department Monthly sewer discharge <br /> reports are submitted to the regulatory agencies Sewer discharge results since system <br /> startup in March 1993, are included as Attachment 3 During the period between <br /> March 2, and December 16, 1993, an estimated 3,488,163 gallons of ground water <br /> containing dissolved hydrocarbons were pumped from RW-1 and RW-2 and discharged <br /> into the sewer <br /> 93 011C QMR <br />
