CRCEnvironmental Risk Management, Inc.
JUL 16 Pf 9 '2. p 7
July 6, 1993
Mr. Michael Infurna
San Joaquin Public Health Services
P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
RE: Bi-Annual Groundwater Monitoring Report
American Savings Bank Property
222 N. El Dorado
Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Infurna:
As per San Joaquin County Regulations, CRC Environmental Risk Management, Inc. ("CRC") has
prepared a Bi-Annual Groundwater Monitoring Report relative to the monitoring well located at the
American Savings Bank Property, 222 N. El Dorado Street, Stockton, California. The well is located
in the southeast parking area, and was originally installed by Clayton Environmental Consultants on April
11, 1991. The well was installed as a part of a Phase II Environmental Investigation on the subject
property, dated May 14, 1991. The total depth of the well is 49.5 feet. The required well monitoring
consisted of inspecting the condition of the well box, cement seal, well cap, lock, depth of groundwater,
and a visual inspection of the groundwater.
CRC performed the well monitoring at the subject property on May 27, 1993. A representative of the
San Joaquin Public Health Services was present during the monitoring by CRC. The inspection of the
well revealed the following:
♦ The well box was in good condition, however, the concrete_ _
seal around the box was
broken whichoul
cdate
'`allow water to infiltrate`the well box. The looseconcrete -was .
removed to a depth of about six inches and the seal was re-poured.
♦ The internal compression fitting well cap was tight and locked.
♦ The metal surface plate or cap was cracked at the screw joint. A new cap has been
installed.
♦ The depth to groundwater was measured using a weighted chalk tape. The depth from
ground surface to top of groundwater was 36 feet 8 inches.
♦ A bailer was lowered down the well casing in order to visually inspect the groundwater.
The water appeared to be clear with nonvisible sheen or floating residue.
17875 Von Karman Avenue, Suite 200 ♦ Irvine, California 92714
(714)476-1260 ♦ Fax: (714)476-8211
