San Joaquin Street
P.O. Box 388
Stockton, California 95201
Attn: Mr. Michael Infurna, R.E.H.S.
Senior Health Specialist
Dear Michael:
We are forwarding two (2) copies of the Revised Work Plan and a copy of the Health and
Safety Plan in connection with the Phase II Environmental Assessment to be conducted at the
American Savings Bank's property at 222 North El Dorado Street, Stockton, California.
The primary objective of the investigation is to determine if the subsoils at the property site
have been impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons and volatile organics resulting from the
site's former use as an auto service station and associated auto businesses. Since there are
potential off-site sources, the groundwater beneath the property will also be investigated.
We plan to drill and sample six (6) boreholes within the vadoze zone by using the Geoprobe
System of coring and sampling. Two (2) additional monitoring wells will be drilled and
installed on site. Both soil and water samples will be collected from these wells.
The soil samples will be analyzed for TPH and TEH by EPA 8015 Modified; and volatile
organics by EPA 8260. Groundwater samples will be analyzed for TPH as gasoline and
diesel and VOCs. The groundwater monitoring well presently onsite will be sampled at the
_same time. .I will be in contact with you when we get closer to the permitting stage of this
proposal.
Thank you for all the assistance you have extended to us.
Sincerely,
CRC Environmental Risk Management, Inc. r
R nnie Almero, S., R.E.A. #3376
P jest Manager
PAYMENT
cc: Trevor Santochi, CRC RECEIVED
APR 17  :^a
SASPTARONNIE\SANJOAQ.LET SANJOAQi.i"stv ;
PUBLIC HEAT {
ENVIRONM_NTAL 11 n<i t,DIVISION
