l Y <br /> WORK PLAN <br /> FOR <br /> PHASE II ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT <br /> AND GROUNDWATER MONITORING PROGRAM D <br /> AT <br /> AMERICAN SAVINGS BANK PROPERTY OCT 10 1996 <br /> 222 EL DORADO STREET <br /> STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Santochi & Bravante LLC (S&B) proposes performing a subsurface investigation and additional <br /> monitoring at the American Savings Bank (ASB) owned property located at 222 El Dorado Street <br /> Stockton, California (see Site Location Map). This investigation will consist of subsurface <br /> sampling near the elevator, in the basement of the building where varying levels of hydrocarbons <br /> were previously detected.,�Addtionally,-San-Joaquin County-Environrnental-Health--has informally' <br /> requested that monthly groundwater monitoring be instituted in order to ascertain whether a <br /> consistent gradient is present or whether the gradient is fluctuating. Analytical data will be collected <br /> in the first monitoring event. Repeated monitoring events for the following two months will consist <br /> of measuring the water level only. <br /> The purpose of this investigation is to determine if the groundwater impact is from an onsite or <br /> offsite source. Additionally, borings placed near the elevator will determine if a release of hydraulic <br /> fluid has taken place, and the extent of the impact if any. <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> PERMITTIN <br /> A permit for the subsurface environmental investigation will be obtained, in accordance with the <br /> requirements of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Services Site Mitigation Unit. San <br /> Joaquin .County_will_be-notified within,48,,hours-prior to_commencement_of soil borings-or— <br /> groundwater monitoring. <br /> WORK SCHEDULE <br /> The projected schedule will be as follows: <br /> • Permitting Prior to October 15th <br /> • Drilling and soil sampling October 15th-31 st <br /> • Preparation of initial report November 30th <br /> American Savings Bank ' <br /> S Project k 9620-040-I <br /> October 9, 1994 1 Stockton,California <br />
