8.5 Additional Protective Equipment <br /> ' American National Standard Institute (ANSI) approved safety glasses with side shields <br /> shall be required during chip-producing operations, such as drllling/jackhammering <br /> through concrete. <br /> ' Splash-proof chemical goggles shall be mandated by the FSS for operations presenting <br /> splash or splatter potential, such as vehicle decontamination or wet drilling operations. <br /> ' Full face respirators preclude the need for other forms of eye rotection. <br /> ( p P Y protection.) <br /> ' Hearing protection: Employees will be offered a choice of ear muffs or disposable <br /> ear plugs for use around high noise levels.
